Politics at a local level
Every constituency in the UK has a CLP – a Constituency Labour Party. If you join the Labour Party you automatically become a member of your CLP – and it’s one of the key ways you can get involved with the party. Your CLP organises campaigning on a local level and works to win elections for councillors and the PPC (Prospective Parliamentary Candidate) for your area. Over the next year in Chipping Barnet, we will be campaigning hard to get a majority for Labour on Barnet Council, and we need your help to do it.
AGM stands for Annual General Meeting. This is a meeting once a year where all members are invited, and the new executive committee is elected. We had ours in July 2017 and the new executive committee was elected. The Chair of Committee is Will McMahon and he is happy to chat to you about any issues you want to raise if you email: email@example.com
